Alanis Morissette is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born on June 1, 1974, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Morissette began her career as a child actress and released her first album, “Alanis,” in 1991.
She achieved worldwide success with the release of her 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill,” which included the hit singles “You Oughta Know” and “Ironic.” The album sold over 33 million copies worldwide and earned Morissette four Grammy Awards.
She has since released several successful albums, including “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie” and “Havoc and Bright Lights,” and has won numerous awards for her music. In addition to her music career, Morissette has also appeared in several films and television shows.
