Take a closer look as to how the G Major chords are played in different positions.The figures being made use of here are the B Major and the E Major figures.

Take a look at the video where the progression of I – IV – V or the tonic, subdominant and dominant chords are played for each of these positions. We recommend to play these progressions starting with the first position, and the work your way down to the third position. This will result in you playing G, C & D7 along the fretboard in three different variations. Make sure you get the hang of changing these as it will definitely help you with your development and familiarity.
