I – IV – V – IV

Second Basic Progression: I – IV – V – IV

This progression is similar to the first one, with one simple change at the end.

The very small change that we will need to do on this second progression, compared with the first one, is playing only once and adding a IV right after to complete 4 measures.  Remember that we’re basing our progression in this structure:

D-major-chord-I-IV-V-progression

From that scale we’re taking D G and A as the three chords we will do, but this applies to all scales and all major and minor keys.

Let’s practice this progression!
