The instrument is held at the three points A, B and C. The posture used for holding the Bandola is relatively free, but the following three in the images provided below may be among the more common and widely used.

As you can tell, holding this string instrument is very much like holding others such as the Cuatro, Ukulele or Guitar. It is best to find which posture works best for you and apply it. If you start to get uncomfortable with one position, then try to make use of some of the others as is demonstrated in the illustrations. Once you have your position and your Bandola is tuned, then it is time to get started with learning how to play, which we will touch upon in the next lessons.
