Jule Styne was a prolific composer who was active in the mid-20th century. He was born in London in 1905, but immigrated to the United States with his family when he was a child. Styne began his career as a pianist and later became a successful songwriter for films and Broadway musicals. Some of his most famous works include “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” from the musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” which he co-wrote with Sammy Cahn.
