Sammy Cahn was a successful American composer and lyricist who was active in the mid-20th century. He was born in 1913 in New York City and grew up in the Bronx. Cahn began his career as a songwriter for films and later wrote for Broadway musicals. Some of his most famous songs include “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”, which he co-wrote with Jule Styne, and “Three Coins in the Fountain” from the movie of the same name.
