Aretha Franklin, born in March 25, 1942 in Detroit, was an American singer and piano player, who got to be the most influential female singer and who’s music career would be recognized as such level to be considered one of the 100 greatest artists of all time.
Franklin was known as the Queen of Soul. Began her career with her father singing Gospel at a New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit and later developed a unique style as Soul singer. Her most successful songs are: Respect, I Never Loved a Man, A Natural Woman, and I Say a Little Prayer.
